Urban Herding Workshop
Package Description
Im so excited to be hosting Ellen from the Urban Herder to bring you this amazing workshop to help you unlock your Collies potential and fulfill their genetic drives. What is Urban Herding? Do you have a herding breed but have no sheep? No problem! Urban Herding is a game that offers herding breeds a chance to unleash their herding abilities using a ball instead of sheep. The game will teach your dog to use traditional sheep herding cues and behaviours from flanking, waiting and outruns to control the movement of the ball. On this workshop we will also be looking at Predatory Play. Predatory play is a great way for dog owners to engage their dogs in structured play, providing outlets for natural, innate behaviours and giving more understanding to owners around predation. In dogs, predatory play involves behaviors such as stalking, chasing, pouncing, and mouthing. Dogs can engage in this play with toys, other dogs, or sometimes even with humans in a playful, non-aggressive manner. It's important to note that in a play context, this behavior is not intended to harm or threaten; rather, it's a way for dogs to simulate hunting and interacting with "prey." Predatory play is a normal and healthy part of a dog's behavior. It provides mental and physical stimulation, satisfies their instinctual drives, and enhances their overall well-being. In this workshop we will help you Understand and recognise predatory play, help you unlock your dog's potential and engage your dogs in structured play, while establishing boundaries and self control to ensure a positive play experience for you both. You won't want to miss this! * Handler Spaces - 7 available * Spectator Spaces- 10 available
