Who Am I? A Dog Trainer in Dorset

For my first blog post I wanted to re-introduce myself. My name is Ellie, I am a qualified dog trainer based in the South-West of England, covering Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire.

I have always had a passion for working with dogs. After working with them in kennels and day care settings, I completed a degree in BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I have since undergone training with Puppy School Ltd and I regularly attend seminars, conferences, and training courses to stay current and up-to-date with training practices.

In the 2 and a bit years I have been practising I have had 104 puppies through my Puppy School courses, I have carried out over 570 one-to-one training sessions, and increased my offers to include the successful Juniors Course, Recall and Loose-lead Workshops, along with Puppy Mooch & Mingles and a Reactivity Support Package.

I have become accreditated via the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) as an Animal Training Instructor and begun my journey of Free Work with Animal Centred Education (ACE).

I pride myself on using humane methods centred around reward and choice, keeping it fun and productive for you and your dog while upholding high welfare standards.

I am also thrilled to be a part of the Dorset Carer Friendly Community, where I offer 10% off all services and stock purchases to better support those who do so much for others.

I LOVE my job, I love supporting guardians with their canine companions across a wide range of things, helping to build strong connections between the two and enable lasting success.
