ACE Free Work Workshop


Package Description

A wonderful opportunity to experience the magic Free Work. Co-hosted with the brilliant Matt from South West Dog Skills. Free Work is sensory exploration for dogs, but also so much more! The set ups allow them reset physically and emotionally, while building a strong connection between handler and dog and enaballing us to further support them on their journey through their lives.  It helps is build our observational skills of our companions, find what they find meaningful to learn with and utilise. It can be used to support dogs in every situation that may arise for them. Come and experience the magic first hand, there's nothing like it. Spectator space (no dog) 4 left - £60 each Handler spaces FULLY BOOKED Workshop Information: If you have any food allergies please let me know. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be on available throughout the day, please help yourselves whenever needed it's a relaxed day. Entrance is round the back in the courtyard, please park at the front and around the back. Dogs Coming *Please leave dogs in cars until called bar toilet runs and lunch break* If they need a wee before we start please give each other a wide birth as some dogs coming are reactive. Chat amongst yourselves to maybe relay dogs if needed. We start at 10am, if you need to arrive a little early to let them out before resettling that's fine. Bring car covers if you need them to shield them from views of others or the sun. I will have one with me for someone to borrow. Itinery/Content: 9:40/45 arrive and settle dogs (Matt & I will be inside setting up, come in when ready) 10am Start Introduction to ACE (Animal Centred Education) What is ACE Free Work How does ACE Free Work benefit dogs How to utilise Free Work principles in the real world What are ACE Observations & what to look for during a Free Work session Working through each dog in turn setting up meaningful set ups for dogs Lunch Second round and building on outside connection work and making adjustments for dogs based on observations from the first 4pm finish Things to Bring: Lunch Notebook & pen if wanted Wallet if you want to buy some goodies, i'll have the full shebang available :D Things to Bring for Dogs: Food for set ups (treats, licki stuff, chews) Bed Familar item of interest or importance Harness & lead/longline if needed

Cancellation Policy

Clients can cancel their booking up to 7 days prior to the start date to be entitled to a partial refund (taking into account the welcome package, booking fee, and admin time).
